Anne Brasseur, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe keeps track of human rights situation in Azerbaijan
Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) held a meeting with Artemy KARPENKO, Deputy to the Head of the Private Office of PACE President. During the meeting Head of AIDHR talked about the organization headed by him and informed PACE official on the state of human rights in Azerbaijan.
In his turn Artemy KARPENKO underscored that human rights, in particular state of freedom of self- expression in Azerbaijan is closely followed by Anne Brasseur, President of PACE and added that collaboration with Azerbaijani government is underway. He further went on to emphasizes importance of exchange of information between PACE and AIDHR. In the end of meeting Mr. KARPENKO wished success to Mr. Shahidov and noted that he would keep Anne Brasseur, President of PACE informed related to the meeting.
