Ahmad Shahidov attends 31st session of the UN Human Rights Council

bmtHead of AIDHR intends to have meetings with high ranked officials

UN Human Rights Council is scheduled to conduct its 31st Session in Geneva, Switzerland on February 29. The session which is expected to be attended by high ranked officials, chief representatives of the international organisations, human rights defenders and diplomats will feature discussions on recent developments in the world, human rights issue, Iraq and Syria conflict, flow of migrants to Europe, combat against terrorism and other relevant issues.

Being invited to the UN Human Rights Council, Ahmad Shahidov head of Azerbaijani Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (AIDHR) intends to be active part of discussions and hold several official meetings. In his statement head of AIDHR noted that the Session would be fruitful and pledged to give a raise to Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev, hostages of Kalbajar region and call on UN officials to intensify efforts in this respect.
