Ahmad Shahidov, Head of the Azerbaijan Institute for Democracy and Human Rights, who is on a working visit to Europe, visited the Embassy of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Budapest.
During the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the TRNC in Budapest Mrs. Selda Chimen, the Head of AIDHR discussed the relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus, spoke about the work done for the national interests of the two countries and exchanged views on the TRNC’s worldwide recognition.
Expressing her satisfaction with welcoming Azerbaijani human rights defender in Budapest, Ambassador Selda Chimen briefed on the priorities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, its relations with the Turkish World, as well as relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the exchange of views, the sides discussed further development of relations between the two countries, as well as the outline of joint activities to protect the rights of the people of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
