Head of Gakh District Executive Authority Musa Shakiliyev and the local community attended the event.
Guests were welcomed by Novruz characters – Kosa and Bald, then “Dede Korkut” greeted and blessed them. After the Novruz bonfire, the event was started.
At the event held at the Gakh City Olympic Sports Complex, national cuisine samples, including Gakh’s gourmet cuisine, were demonstrated. Exemplary performances of athletes and numbers of wrestlers have created a good atmosphere for the guests. The event continued with a concert program.
Originally from the town of Gakh, well-known human rights defender Ahmad Shahidov also participated in Novruz festivities. Ahmad Shahidov met with the Gakh community and sincerely talked to them, conveyed Novruz congratulations and celebrated the holiday with ordinary Gakh residents.
