Russia’s victory in Ukraine will be the beginning of a new war for Europe – Ahmad Shahidov made a statement to ARB24 television

The war between Russia and Ukraine cannot be assessed solely within the framework of a territorial dispute or land division between the two countries. This global confrontation is a complex process that encompasses large-scale geopolitical interests, the restructuring of the security architecture, and the strategic positions of global powers.

Political analyst Ahmad Shahidov, in a statement to ARB24 Television, noted that the main goal in this war is not to gain territory; rather, Russia aims to neutralize NATO’s Eastern flank and stop the alliance’s expansion towards Russian borders. He stated that Moscow is striving for the complete demilitarization of Ukraine.

Ahmad Shahidov added that Ukraine remaining neutral, lacking a strong army, and not joining the European Union and NATO are Moscow’s primary targets. He warned that if Russia wins this war, an attack on Europe will be inevitable in the next phase.
